Helping Our Athletes
Our Whitman All-Sports Boosters Club funds athletic improvements and safety enhancements for our Vikings and entire community. We augment our athletic department budget which is only partially funded by MCPS. All Whitman students benefit because much of our funding goes to improve our athletic facilities. Our club began in 1995 and continues to be “Whitman Strong!” In fact, Whitman Sports were voted “Best MCPS Sports Program” by the Washington Post in 2023!
Our boosters club helps to promote our sports teams through social media, our new electronic message board on the front school sign, and our “Whitman Sports Guide” (see “Sports Guide” tab above.) Also, we manage our “Viking Sportsmanship Award” which is granted to seniors who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork on every varsity team.
