Greetings Whitman Community,

Our Whitman All-Sports Boosters Club funds athletic improvements and safety enhancements for our Vikings and entire community.  We augment our athletic department budget which is only partially funded by MCPS.  All Whitman students benefit because much of our funding goes to improve our athletic facilities.   Our club began in 1995 and continues to be “Whitman Strong!”  In fact, Whitman Sports were voted “Best MCPS Sports Program” by the Washington Post in 2023!

Through your generous donations the All-Sports Booster Club has been able to purchase the following athletic improvements: 

Electronic message board in front school sign, gym floors renovations, cross country/track training aides and high jump crash mat, volleyball serving machines, weight room equipment, stadium scoreboard/turf/sound system/concessions support, poms banner, wrestling mats, football helmets, gymnastics uneven bars and mats, Hudl school-wide subscription (system which allows coaches/players to analyze video to improve performance), lacrosse tech, field hockey face masks, balls of all kinds, nets, goals, team bags, uniforms, scoring tables, clocks, baseball scoreboard/pitching machine/safety nets, softball dug-out gates, basketball training aides, continuing education for coaches, etc.

Annual family membership dues: 

ONE annual family membership payment of $55 (or any amount) covers all of your students, for all JV/Varsity sports, for the whole year.  We invite YOU to join us today!  Click the “Join/Donate Boosters” tab to pay online via PayPal or credit card.  Donations of all sizes are greatly appreciated!

In addition to FUNDS, we also focus on FUN and positive sportsmanship!  

Our boosters club helps to promote our sports teams through social media, our new electronic message board on the front school sign, and our “Whitman Sports Guide” (see “Sports Guide” tab above.)  Also, we manage our “Viking Sportsmanship Award” which is granted to seniors who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork on every varsity team.

NEW Whitman Spiritwear online store:  Got Whitman swag?  We do!  Click the “Shop” tab above.  Our store is open 24/7 and features hundreds of sport-specific and general “Whitman” items.  10% of the proceeds go to our club!

Thank you in advance for supporting our fundraisers:  Membership, Mock SAT/ACT’s, concessions, clinics, ad sales, holiday tree sale, and our famous mulch sale in the spring!

Mock SAT/ACTs: 

Every fall and spring, we offer practice SATs and ACTs for all of our students (primarily 10th and 11th graders.)  Students take the tests in-person at Whitman.  These mock tests are administered by Capital Educators in a similar manner to the actual tests.  Mock tests are a great way for students and/or parents to gain familiarity with the test formats, build confidence, and decide which test, the ACT or the SAT, is a better fit.
