The Viking Sportsmanship Award

For Dedication, Perseverance, Spirit, Kindness, and Leadership On and Off the Playing Field

Recipients of our Viking Sportsmanship Award are not necessarily the stars of their teams, but they shine bright in all ways!  They have strong work ethics, play hard for the greater good of the team, and always compete for Whitman in a fair and ethical manner.  This award is granted to a deserving senior student-athlete on some of our varsity teams.  Not all of our varsity teams submit a winner for a variety of reasons.  Lastly, this award was established in 1989 to honor a Whitman senior student-athlete named Britton N. Chichester who passed away tragically.  His legacy lives on proudly to this day.

Congratulations to the 2023-2024 School Year
